My Story

Combining my love for nature and passion for jewelry, I began developing my personal style at an early age. Encouraged by friends and family I took my interest to the next level and began studying gemstones and the art of jewelry making. Eventually I started Terry Snider Jewelry and began selling my own creations. I hand select precious gemstones and pearls from around the world and let their natural beauty inspire my designs.

Terry Snider Jewelry

Terry Snider Jewelry has won two awards while competing at the JCK Jewelers Choice Awards. We have brought the collection to this site to offer our unique and exclusive fine jewelry directly to you. Terry Snider Jewelry guarantees the authenticity of every piece as described. As each one is unique, you will never see another person with the exact same Terry Snider creation as the one you are wearing.

History of Becker Medals

History of Becker Medals

Edmond Becker, born in Paris (1871-1971), competed at the age of twenty in the “sculpture” section at the Salon des Artistes Francais (French Artist Salon), but it was the 1900 exhibition that consecrated him, at the Boucheron stand, where he obtained a Gold Medal. While the “modern style” unfolded its sinuous lines, he dealt with humor and gaiety in creating medallions, with familiar themes such as children’s faces, flowers and plants.

History of Becker Medals

He gave everyday objects their nobility, watches the appearance of jewels, and easily switched from academic swords to monumental sculptures. In 1927, he created the High Altar of the French Church in New York, and sculpted profiles minted in coins and then made into medallions. He also became interested in postage stamps.

He received many awards throughout his career and, in 1937 he received the highest possible award, “The Medal of Honor”. For many years, Edmond Becker devoted himself exclusively to the creation of medallions. He became known as the greatest medal specialist in Paris, and gleefully adapted his work to the evolution of contemporary art.

Saga

Frederic Brasier, an artisan goldsmith, who was director at Cartier, joined forces in 1938 with Edmond Becker, to create the company Becker-Brasier, which exclusively produced medallions. Michel Brasier, son of Frederic Brasier, who also proudly studied under Becker, studied the art of Jewelry making, and worked for a few years in the Cartier workshops. In 1966 he became director of the Becker-Brasier workshops. Since 2003, the company Saga has been passionately pursuing the manufacture and distribution of these medallions, which can undoubtedly be considered the most beautiful religious and secular medallions, due to their fine execution and the rendering of expressions. Saga has brought its expertise in the field of precious metallurgy and its know-how to jewelry-making. Subsequently, they encrusted diamonds, which enhanced light already emanating from faces on medallions. A numbered authentication card will be included with each purchase.
